Trump set August 25, 2020 as a deadline for Kosovo? (Vecernje Novosti, Srpski Telegraf, Tanjug)

Srpski Telegraf daily writes today that US President Donald Trump has set August 25 next year as the deadline for resolving the Kosovo issue, and states that it includes a demarcation deal.

"The deadline to put an end to the Kosovo node is August 25 next year, two months before the US presidential election (in November), when Donald Trump will fight for another term in the White House," Serbian media quotes Srpski telegraf.

"Bolton's visit to Serbia depends of Pristina, Washington without comment" (Voice of America, Kurir, FoNet, TV N1, B92)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said that the US President's National Security Advisory John Bolton might visit the region in late August, B92 reports. Dacic stated there are good prospects for Bolton's visit to Serbia if there are some positive indications that Pristina might revoke the tariffs.

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister met in Washington with US National Security Adviser John Bolton, RTS reports. Dacic said he has received during the meeting “very good remarks” on what Serbia is doing regarding Kosovo.

Speaking for the RTS main news edition, Dacic noted the meeting with Bolton proved that Kosovo issue is high on the list of foreign policy priorities of the US President.

Without disclosing the details of the meeting, Dacic added “the meeting was extremely useful.”
