Gracanica allocated land to the Association of Journalists of Serbia (KoSSev, KIM radio)

The Mayor of Gracanica Vladeta Kostic and President of the Association of Journalists of Kosovo and Metohija (DNKiM) Budimir Nicic yesterday signed the agreement on the allocation of land for the construction of the Journalists' House in Gracanica.

The Journalists Association of Serbia (UNS) was awarded with a plot of 400 square meters, for a period of 99 years with possibility of extension, needed for the construction of the House of Journalists.

Serbia prepares to deploy customs officers on the boundary lines with Kosovo (KoSSev)

Serbia is preparing to deploy its customs officers at the boundary line with Kosovo and already at the beginning of March this year. This will be done due to the smuggling in the North.

A Serbian confidential source told Tesheshi.com that the Government of Serbia made the decision after facing a lot of non-compliance with the procedures and smuggling carried out in the North, and it affects Serbian producers, whose products, through illegal routes, are returning back to Serbia.

The Office of the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo in North Mitrovica (KoSSev)

In North Mitrovica started to work the Office of the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo, the Inspectorate announced.

This is the third office of the PIK, opened this year, and the first two were opened in Gnjilane/Gjilan and Prizren.

Executive director of the PIK, Fitim Shishani, urged the public to use the services of this office in order to, as he said, exercise their rights.

A sudden protest in Zvecan/Zveqan (KoSSev)

In Rudare, Zvecan/Zveqan municipality, on the main road Pristina-Raska, a protest soon will begin, KoSSev learned unofficially from multiple sources.

Already more people have gathered at the site. The alleged motive of a protest is the arrival of ministerial delegations from Pristina, KoSSev learns from several sources in the North.

The mayor of North Mitrovica Goran Rakic is not familiar with a protest, who is, as he says, on the road Belgrade-Mitrovica.

Former UNMIK Heads: Kosovo in UNESCO because of peace between Serbia and Kosovo (Kossev)

Before the session of the General Conference of UNESCO, in which will be decided about  the membership of Kosovo in this organization, four former heads of UNMIK - Bernard Kouchner, Michael Steiner, Soren Jessen-Petersen and Joachim Ruecker, sent an explicit letter of support for Kosovo's membership in UNESCO. Describing themselves as "independent individuals" who know the situation, they say that UNESCO "cannot afford to refuse giving support to Kosovo and its people."
