Police in Kosovo say one officer and two protesters were injured in clashes in the capital early Saturday, a day after the opposition disrupted parliament with tear gas to protest against agreements with Serbia and Montenegro.
In an interview for ABC News, Ulrike Lunacek, the European Parliament’s Rapporteur on Kosovo, said she was very pleased to hear Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Avramopoulos, say that Kosovo is making the final steps toward visa liberalization. “This is the first time that I am hearing something like this from the Commission. Kosovo authorities need to adopt another four laws. I will not give any dates, but if Kosovo adopts the laws and the Commission continues its work, then the member states will have to say yes.
