The head of the Serbian negotiating team Tanja Mišćević says, at the session of the parliamentary committee for European integration, that there were no changes in negotiating positions of the EU on Chapter 35.

Serbia will not have a negotiating position for Chapter 35, which deals in the negotiations with the EU with the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina. This chapter does not replace the dialogue on the normalization of relations and therefore there is no need for a negotiating position.

The Chapter 35 will most likely be the first one to open in the negotiations between Serbia and the EU, which, according to all indications and from Brussels and Belgrade, should begin by the end of the year.

Kosovo's membership in UNESCO would be a precedent that would harm the future functioning of the organization, which Serbia sees as very important for the protection of its cultural heritage, said the head of Serbia's negotiating team with the European Union (EU), Tanja Miscevic.

In regards to the Kosovo’s bid to join UNESCO, she said that the international organizations are, unfortunately, influenced by politics, and pointed out that Serbia needs to increase its diplomatic activity, in order to prevent a negative outcome.
