The outgoing Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Slobodan Petrovic has voiced expectation that a way will be found for election of the Kosovo assembly speaker, even though he didn’t exclude the possibility of new parliamentary elections.

Group of ten journalists was stopped and kept for an hour at Jarinje crossing by Serbian police, which didn’t allow their van to enter Serbia proper from Kosovo. They managed to pass through only after the intervention of the Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs. “Thanks to the intervention of the Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic, police has let us through Jarinje. However they issued a ticket to a driver of the van, for no reason,” Petar Jermic, chairperson of the Association of Journalists of Serbia, said to Kurir.

The leader of the Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic, who is detained for seven months now, argues that charges against him for alleged war crimes in Kosovo are senseless and that he will prove it.

Following their meeting in Kosovo Polje/Fushë Kosovë, the Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtic and the head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo Jean-Claude Schlumberger have both requested the case of two missing Serbian journalists Djuro Slavuj and Ranko Perinic to be resolved. Dalibor Jevtic stressed that building of mutual trust between citizens and institutions is not possible unless the light is not shed on crimes committed in Kosovo.

Civic Initiative SDP appealed on Serbian government to extend more firmly guarantees for the release of Olvier Ivanovic from detention, which lasts for almost seven months now.
