Jevtić requests postponement of the privatization of Hotel Junior (KIM radio)

Outgoing Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtić has sent a letter to Kosovo Privatization Agency requesting the delay of privatization of the Hotel Junior in Brezovica, where internally displaced are sheltered. In his letter he explained that the hotel can’t be privatized as long as it shelters internally displaced persons. “There are 34 families sheltered in the hotel, coming from municipalities of Uroševac/Ferizaj, Prizren, Štimlje/Shtime and Kačanik/Kaçanik,” said Jevtićc in his latter and added that besides children there are and very old people.

The fate of the missing still unresolved (KiM radio)

The Coordination of Serb Associations of Families of the Missing, Murdered and Killed Persons from former Yugoslavia said that "the international community in Kosovo, failed to prevent massive violations of human rights and that it did nothing to bring to justice the perpetrators of war crimes and crimes against the civilian population."  "Since the introduction of the United Nations Interim Administration in Kosovo, there were more than 7,200 ethnically motivated attacks. Over 1,100 Serbs and citizens of other nationalities were killed.

15 years from the adoption of the Resolution 1244 (KiM radio)

Prior to the adoption of the Resolution were held negotiations between Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic and Viktor Chernomyrdin, who was the representative of the then Russian President Boris Yeltsin. These negotiations were completed in early June, with the mediation of Martti Ahtisaari, who represented the EU and the UN. Document on Milosevic-Ahtisaari-Chernomyrdin agreement, which was adopted by the National Assembly and then the federal government, was the basis for the Resolution 1244. 

Voting even with invalid UNMIK identity card (KiM radio)

A member of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Nenad Rikalo said that it was decided that for voting in early parliamentary elections on Sunday can be used all valid documents.

In a statement for Tanjug, Rikalo said that voters can use even Serbian identity documents, if they are enrolled in the electoral roll. "All valid documents can be used including ID card, passport, IDP or refugee identity card, even UNMIK ID cards that are not valid, but on Election Day will be accepted," he said. 

Rasic: Vehicle insurance to get cheaper? (KiM Radio)

Insurance for vehicles with Serbian license plates in Kosovo, or with Kosovo license plates in Serbia, could cost considerably less from 1 July, announces Kosovo Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sasa Rasic. “The problem of expensive insurance at the administrative crossings between Kosovo and central Serbia still exists, but technical teams from both sides reached an agreement in principle,” said Rasic.

And conditional voting possible (KiM radio)

Conditional vote will be allowed in the upcoming parliamentary elections to be held on June 8th. A spokesman of the Central Election Commission Valmir Elezi said that conditional voting is a legal option that can be used by eligible voters who for some reason cannot vote at their polling places. "Conditional voting can be realized at each polling station," said Elezi. The CEC confirmed that about 1.8 million people have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Kosovo.

Northern mayor against participation in elections (Kim radio, B92)

Zubin Potok Mayor Stevan Vulović has said that it was his "personal stance" that Serbs should not take part in the election in Kosovo scheduled for June 8. 

"Priština is attempting, via all its institutions, to make the life meaningless for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and it is my position, which does not mean it will be our final position - that under these conditions we will not participate in the election," Vulović told Beta. 

Djuric in Kosovo (RTS,TV Most, KiM radio)

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric will visit Kosovo, the Office for KiM announced. Djuric will visit the monastery of Gracanica, where he will meet with Bishop Theodosius, Bishop of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija. This will be the first official meeting for Djurić since he took the office of the director, and also his first visit to Kosovo, the statement added. After the talks, Djuric will be in the monastery courtyard, and will address the public. Besides visiting the monastery, Djuric will visit Gracanica and talk with local government officials and residents
