Increased security measures in Zvečan due to football match (RTK2)

Regional police directorate Mitrovica North announced increased security measures before, during and after the football match of the Serbia’s Cup between Trepča from North Mitrovica and Vojvodina from Novi Sad which will take place today in Zvečan/Zveçan. Regional Kosovo police commander for northern Kosovo Željko Bojić said that incidents are not expected, however police will be vigilant, whereas a rapid response unit will be on standby. Around 3,500 supporters are expected to attend the football match of the Serbia’s Cup 1/16 final which will start at 16:00.

EULEX fails to arrest suspect for the murder of KP officer (Koha)

An international prosecutor from the Mitrovica Basic prosecution, assisted by EULEX Police, executed an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol for Radomir Kasalovic in the north of Kosovo. The operation was carried out as part of investigations into a number of cases that include murder, attempted murder, illegal possession of weapons and obstruction of justice. The murder charges are related to the death of the Kosovo Police officer, Enver Zymberi, in July of 2011 and attack on the KP convoy in which the victim was travelling.

Suspect arrested for murder and attempted murder (RTK2)

Regional Head of Operations of the Kosovo Police Zeljko Bojic said that the police arrested in Lesak one person suspected of murder and attempted murder of another person. Assassination planned for North Mitrovica Mayor (Vesti)
