Albanians ripping Serbian books (Kontakt Plus Radio)

New books in Serbian language, which Serbian Ministry of Culture buys for public libraries, can’t reach Kosovo and Metohija libraries because authorities in Pristina are not allowing their transport through administrative crossings. Serbian librarians from Mitrovica North, Zubin Potok, Zvečan/Zveçan and Leposavić/Leposaviq are warning that they will face huge problems this year when it comes to receiving books, renewing collections and promoting the literature in Serbian language in their institutions.

Kozarev: Pristina should support the project ‘Sunny Valley’ (RTK2)

Deputy Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Dušan Kozarev, said that it would be good that Albanians support the project ‘Sunny Valley’, which they currently see as a problem.

Kozarev said to RTK2 that the goal of the ‘Sunny Valley’ would be sustainable return to Kosovo and assessed that return of displaced and internally displaced from Kosovo in last 17 years almost didn’t exist. He added that this project would change the complete approach to the return process.

Simić and Žbogar on the EU Office support to the Serbian community (RTK2)

Mustafa: “Sunny Valley” has no construction permit (Klan Kosova)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said that Serb returnees have no permit for construction of the so-called “Sunny Valley” in the north of Kosovo. “They have no right to construct the ‘Sunny Valley'. It is impermissible and valueless for so long as the institutions have not issued a permit”, said Mustafa today in a visit to Istog/Istok.

The preparation of the field is on-going. In a few weeks, with joint forces of the Serbian Government Office for KiM, the Diocese of Raška and Prizren and Zvečan municipality will start the construction of 225 - 300 typical houses, of 60 to 100 square meters.

There are no conditions to hold a census (TV Most)

A meeting between Serbian political representatives, ministers in the Government of Kosovo, Deputy PM, MPs and mayors of all ten municipalities with Serbian majority in Kosovo was held in Mitrovica North, with the aim to achieve a general consensus on the proposed law on the census in northern Kosovo. The meeting resulted in a common position that there are no political, legal, social and security conditions to hold a census.

Action of the release of usurped property will be continued (RTK2)

During the visit to the Kosovo Privatization Agency, Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said that the government will not interfere in the work of the Agency. "We support the work of the Agency and we are working to amend the law. European Commission also calls for census in the Kosovo north (Koha)

Following the Kosovo Assembly’s move to review the draft law on population census in the north of Kosovo, the European Commission (EC) has also stressed the need for the adoption of a law that would enable the process taking place in the four northern municipalities. The EC has encouraged Kosovo institutions to invite international observers to take part in the census, says a press release, the issued by the Ministry of European Integration and the EU Office.
