Is Presevo now special case too, asks Serbian FM (BETA, Tanjug, Prva TV, B92)

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says he is awaiting the reaction of the EU and those who said that Kosovo is a special case.

Dacic, who also serves as the first deputy PM, asked whether Presevo - a town and area in the southern part of central Serbia inhabited by ethnic Albanians - was now also "a special case."

"When it comes to Serbia, it's about special cases all the way," he remarked.

Dacic called on the EU to make "a concrete statement" on the topics that concern Serbia and the Serb people.

Blic: Weapons transported to Macedonia seized in Serbia (B92)

Serbia's Military-Security Agency (VBA) has seized a large quantity of weapons in the southern parts of the country.

According to the daily Blic, the weapons were being transported illegally to Macedonia.

It is assumed that the weapons were intended for "the party infrastructure of the biggest Albanian parties" whose officials took part in armed conflicts in Macedonia, and in Kosovo and Metohija, the newspaper is reporting, citing "VBA sources."

There is suspicion that Turkish intelligence is behind the statements about the redrawing borders in the Balkans and "the spread of the Greater Albania idea."

The Belgrade-based newspaper Vecernje Novosti is reporting this, adding that the treats against Serbia that have been arriving from Tirana, Pristina and Presevo in a synchronized manner, have been prepared in Ankara.

Albanian primary school teachers in Presevo protested again today demanding the delivery of textbooks sent by the Kosovo Ministry of Education. They organized a peaceful "I love books in Albanian" protest in front of the customs terminal in Presevo. Pupils, the mayors of Presevo and Bujanovac, Ragmi Mustafa and Nagip Arifi, as well the President of the National Council of Albanians Jonuz Musliu, showed their support.
