Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti writes in today’s edition that Albin Kurti's victory on the elections held on Sunday in Kosovo may turn out to be a Pyrrhic victory.

According to the daily, Washington suddenly throws into a game a coalition of Hashim Thaci and Isa Mustafa into forming a future government in Pristina.

This paper reminds that Kosovo will face general election in a month, in the same time, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced government reconstruction, while media speculate on a possible new election.

The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, was fined with € 3300 for inclusion of children in the election campaign.

The decision for the fine was made by the Election Complains and Appeals Panel (ECAP), based on the complaint submitted by BIRN and Internews Kosova.

According to ECAP, Mustafa violated election code with his posting of a photo with children carrying T-shirts with slogan of the Democratic League of Kosovo, on his Facebook profile on 17 October.

Leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa, said that a government led by “creators of isolation” and “dictated by the Serbian List” should be short-lived. In a meeting with the party’s candidates running in upcoming local elections, Mustafa said LDK kept its promise of not entering a coalition government with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and expressed belief its candidates will present the best offer come October’s elections.

The outgoing Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), does not want to be part of a broad based government.

According to him, his party entered elections in order to govern Kosovo during a complete mandate.

Mustafa however admitted that they are holding intensive meetings with Vetevendosje movement.

The outgoing Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, took to Facebook to write that “it became obvious that even internationals, who continuously speak about the war against crime and corruption, are in fact more interested for stability, be it even managed by crime, than for a governance that would fight crime in an independent manner.”

Leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa, said the statement of the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR) leader, Behgjet Pacolli, that he gave LDK and Vetevendosje ten days to come up with concrete proposals to overcome the current institutional deadlock or he would leave the LAA coalition is not an ultimatum but simply a proposal aimed at ensuring speedy formation of new institutions. “I am convinced Behgjet Pacolli will remain true to the agreement”, Mustafa said.

Outgoing Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, announced the names of four new ministers set to replace the ones elected to the Kosovo Assembly. Avdullah Hoti will be replaced by his deputy Agim Krasniqi to the post of Finance Minister; Vlora Dumoshi will replace Kujtim Shala as the new Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports;  Lutfi Zharku is being replaced to the post of Minister of Infrastructure by Hanefi Muharremi; and Safet Kamberi will replace Arban Abrashi as Minister of Labour and Social Welfare.

Leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa said in a Facebook post that those responsible for establishing new institutions are those who carried out the motion of no confidence against the government back in May. “They should not be late or ask for additional hours or days because the leadership cannot be created in a day”, Mustafa said clearly referring to the PAN coalition.

The candidate for the Prime Minister from PAN coalition, Ramush Haradinaj invited yesterday for a meeting the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa and the leader of Vetevendosje movement, Visar Ymeri, however both political leaders rejected his invitation.

Member of the leadership of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Muharren Nitaj told Telegrafi that the invitation was completely normal.
