Vucic and Kosovo Serbs discuss Pristina Government (Danas)

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will meet today with the members of the Serbian list in the Kosovo Assembly. They will discuss whether the Serbian MPs should support the agreement of the opposition coalition bloc in which are the Democratic League of Kosovo of Isa Mustafa, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo of Ramush Haradinaj, the Initiative for Kosovo of Fatmir Limaj and the movement Self-determination of Albin Kurti.

“Serbia reaffirmed its independence and sovereignty in decision-making by implementing its serious and responsible policy, and our job is to persevere, because that is the best for our citizens. Therefore, we will not change our position towards Russia and I am confident that it will not jeopardize our European road,” said Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, who in recent months was exposed to the pressures of some Western countries to join the sanctions against the Kremlin.

PM "has no information" about "Brussels 2" (B92)

PM Aleksandar Vučić says he has "no information about a new Brussels agreement," while he is "always ready to go to Brussels and continue the dialogue."

"I'm always ready to go to Brussels, we are very committed to continuing the dialogue with the Albanians, with whom we have no problem. The only problem is that they do not have a government," the prime minister said, referring to the post-election deadlock in Priština.

Because of strained relations of Washington and Brussels to Moscow, Serbian Government expects additional pressure on Belgrade to join western sanctions against Russia. 

The crash of Malaysian plane, for which West blames Moscow, probably will lead to new sanctions against Russia. UK will already on the today’s session of the council of the EU Foreign Affairs try to convince other European countries to adopt additional measures. Serbia is becoming less able to balance and stay neutral.

DSS claims that SNS violated the promise (Danas)

Many people believe that victory of Tomislav Nikolic, the candidate of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), in the second round of the presidential elections which were held in 2012, was due to the support of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS). However, the agreement signed by then the leaders of the two parties is binding only for DSS.

As top SNS officials claim, Progressives are interested in reforms and the entry of Serbia into the EU, which implies a change in the Constitution.

Vucic: A report on organ trafficking is of great importance for Serbia (Politika)

Belgrade - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said in Belgrade that the publication of the report of the Chief Prosecutor Clint Williamson, investigating human organs trafficking, will be of paramount importance to Serbia.

As announced by the Government of Serbia, Prime Minister Vucic said at a meeting with Williamson that the publication of report will confirm objectivity of the EU institutions and international community in the investigation of crimes committed during the war in Kosovo in 1999, and in the former Yugoslavia.

PM: Belgrade committed to normalizing relations with Pristina (Tanjug)

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has said that Belgrade is committed to normalizing relations with Pristina, but recognizing the independence of Kosovo, proclaimed unilaterally by ethnic Albanians, has never been a topic of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels.

We have taken on commitments regarding Pristina that we have honored, Vucic said in an interview for the German daily Die Welt, adding that the pledges from Brussels had not been easy to communicate politically to the Serbian people.
