Jacobson: Public broadcaster in Serbian language is important for Kosovo (RTK2)

During his visit to RTK2, US Ambassador in Kosovo Tracey Ann Jacobson said that for Kosovo is very important to have a public broadcaster in the Serbian language. She expressed her satisfaction that the RTK2, in less than two years of functioning, managed to meet the needs of program content, specified by the law on RTK.

Withdrawn Draft Law on Cultural Heritage (RTK2)

Draft Law on Cultural Heritage was withdrawn from the Assembly procedure, MPs of the Serbian List point out that not all parties have been involved in the writing of this draft.

They announced that in the coming period they will work on the amendment and finalization of the draft of the law so that the law is in line with the rights of all communities in Kosovo.

Vice-President of the Assembly, Jasmina Zivkovic expects that next draft law proposals would suit the needs of all ethnic communities in Kosovo.

No disunity within the Serbian list (RTK2)

After a two-month break, Serbian MPs returned to the assembly, but were not present all parliamentarians of the list at the session held day before yesterday. Five deputies did not attend the Assembly session, a Serbian caucus in the Kosovo parliament, Sasa Milosavljevic, says RTK2 that these MPs were absent due to urgent commitments.

Milosavljevic also denies that there was disunity within this list.

Jahjaga: Serbia to be conditioned with implementation of agreements (RTK2)

Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga said to German Foreign Minsiter Frank-Walter Steinmeir that the only alternative for Kosovo and the region is the EU integration.

Jahjaga stressed that “Kosovo and Serbia have reached certain number of agreements in the process of the dialogue on normalization of relations, and that European path of Serbia has to be conditioned with the implementation of international obligations”.
