There are great chances that representatives of Serbs at the Assembly of Kosovo will either boycott or request postponement of today’s Assembly session during which the new president of Kosovo is expected to be elected.

The possibility that they may support one of the candidates for president of Kosovo has been almost entirely excluded.

The agenda of the Kosovo Assembly for Wednesday states that the election of the president of Kosovo will take place on that day. The leader of the Serbian List, Slavko Simic, said to Novosti that they did not negotiate with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) about support to their candidate Hashim Thaci.

Today the fake state of Kosovo marks eight years since the unilateral declaration of independence. In all reports of relevant international organizations Kosovo is mentioned as a nest of corruption and crime, a place where even basic human rights are not respected.

President of the Serbian list Slavko Simic says that the ruling made by the Basic Court in Mitrovica in Oliver Ivanovic's case is political and he hopes that the judges will correct this mistake with the appeal.

Simic says that it is absolutely clear to everyone that the judgment is based on principles other than law and justice, and that it is a political verdict that sends a very negative message to the Serbs.

The Serbian List parliamentary group chief, Slavko Simic, told the news website his party still hasn’t decided on PDK leader Hashim Thaci’s candidacy for Kosovo President.  "We expect in the coming days to discuss the subject matter with our coalition partners.  It is absolutely untrue that we set conditions for the election of the Kosovo President with the establishment of the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities. We still have no official stance on this issue,” Simic said.

Slavko Simic, leader of the Serbian List, paid a separate visit to the village of Gorazdevac on Monday and not as part of a delegation led by Marko Djuric, head of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo. One day after the incident when shots were fired at several Serb houses and a monument was demolished, Simic is calling for a local solution in order to protect the village. The leader of the Serbian List is thus holding a position different from that of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic. “I dont expect the international community to act on this.

The chairperson of the Serbian List Slavko Simic said to Tanjug that during the voting on Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO sense of some ambassadors prevailed and they brought good decision not to support Kosovo’s bid to become a member of this organization.

Kosovo has signed the Stabilization Association Agreement as a status neutral territory. There is no place in the text where status of the south Serbian province is prejudged, and it remains in line with the UNSC Resolution 1244, said chairperson of the Serbian List, Slavko Simic, in an interview with Novosti, and added that Kosovo is quoted with an asterisk in the text what proves that it is not recognized as a state.

Adoption of the amendment of the Law on Stabilization Association Agreement by the Kosovo parliament, which was not supported by the Serbian List, doesn’t mean that Pristina would be presented at international gatherings as the Republic of Kosovo. Amendment on the Law on ratification of the SAA, which provides that Kosovo would be presented as Republic of Kosovo, instead of Kosovo with asterisk won’t have any legal consequences, claims Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtić.
