Oliver Ivanović remains at home (Vecernje Novosti)

The Appellate Court has rejected the complaint of the EULEX prosecutor requesting that Olvier Ivanović is placed back to detention, and ruled that he remains in the house arrest under same conditions.

“Practically, Oliver will still remain in the house arrest under same condition and it will remain so until the beginning of the main hearing on 6 October. He is not allowed to leave his apartment, contact witnesses and he can be visited only by the close family members,” explained Ivanović’s lawyer Ljubomir Pantović.

Today, continuation of Ivanovic’s trial (TV Most)

In the Municipal Court in Mitrovica north today will be continued the trial of the leader of CI SDP Oliver Ivanovic and four Serbs, who are charged for committing the serious crimes against Albanians. So far, 50 prosecution witnesses were interrogated and none of them brought in connection defendants, Oliver Ivanovic, Dragoljub Delibasic, Nebojiša and Ilija Vujacic and Aleksandar Lazovic, with crimes they are charged for.

Oliver Ivanovic fit for continuation of trial (TV Most)

Trial to the leader of Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic and four other Serbs charged for war crimes against civilian population in 1999 and 2000 continues tomorrow in Mitrovica.

Ivanovic’s spouse said to TV Most that Ivanovic is in good health condition and fit for continuation of the trial, and added that few more witnesses of the prosecution are supposed to testify at the continued trial, which should end until 22 September.

The health condition of Citizens' Initiative SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic, whose trial is ongoing at the court in Mitrovica under war crime charges, is somewhat better on Wednesday than in the previous days, doctors of the North Mitrovica hospital stated.

The doctors said at a press conference that they will do everything possible to ensure that Ivanovic is ready for the continuation of the trial on September 10.

Director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric said today that Serbs in Kosovo and throughout Serbia expect leader of the Citizens' Initiative  'Freedom, Democracy, Justice' Oliver Ivanovic to be released on August 26, when his detention sentence is due to expire.

Ivanovic is tried before the Mitrovica Basic Court for the criminal act of war crime against civilians.

Family visited Ivanovic in hospital (KIM Radio)

The family of leader of the CI SDP Oliver Ivanovic, who has been in Kosovska Mitrovica hospital since Saturday because he started hunger strike in prison, managed to visit him on Tuesday. Ivanovic's sister Natasa Ilic said that the Kosovo police denied hospital visits for three days, and that even yesterday they were waiting for over two hours in a hospital corridor with Ivanovic's four-year-old son.

EULEX chief concerned with Ivanovic’s health (Indeksonline)

Head of EULEX Gabriele Meucci has expressed concern over the health of the leader of the Serb Civic Initiative (CI) Oliver Ivanovic currently on trial on war crimes charges. In a letter to Kosovo Serb leaders, Meucci said that EULEX shares the concerns over Ivanovic’s health during his hunger strike but added that EULEX is acting by the law and gave assurances that the decisions will be taken in an independent manner.
