Serbs are not returning to Kosovo institutions, while there is pressure (RTS, Blic)

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric said today that representatives of Serbs will not return into Kosovo institutions until resolution of the problem of political pressure on them.

- One of these days we will have a meeting between the Prime Minister and representatives of the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija and talk about the political pressures on Serbs which continues - Djuric said, adding that the participation of Serbs in Kosovo institutions remain frozen until these issues are resolved.

The Serbian government has adopted the Regulation on establishing an Office for Coordinating Affairs in the negotiating process with the provisional self-government institutions in Pristina, as well as the Regulation on establishing and regulating the Coordination Body for this negotiating process.

BELGRADE - Serbia will not recognize the independence of Kosovo that was unilaterally proclaimed by ethnic Albanians, Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Aleksandar Vulin said Monday.

“Recognition (independence) of Kosovo is not an option,” Vulin told reporters in his comment on a statement made by Vice-President and Special Rapporteur of the European Parliament on Kosovo Ulrike Lunacek, in which she said that normalization of relations and recognition of Kosovo would be a condition for Serbia’s accession to the European Union (EU).

Interpol issues warrant for arrest of MP Momir Stojanovic (Tanjug, RTS)

BELGRADE - Interpol has issued a red international warrant for the arrest of Momir Stojanovic, aged 57, MP of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and chair of the Serbian parliament Security Service Control Committee.

On its website, Interpol posted a warrant for Stojanovic's arrest because of crimes committed against civilian (Albanian) population in the territory of Djakovica/Gjakova, south-west Kosovo.

SNS MP, Momir Stojanovic said that he had heard that for him was issued "red" Interpol warrant but that he hopes the reaction of the Serbian state.

"I hope that I have a state that will decide about such an arrest warrant, because aim of this warrant is to intimidate Serbs to return to Kosovo and Metohija and seize their properties," said Momir Stojanovic, who is the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for the control of the security services, reports Tanjug.

BELGRADE - Cooperation between the OSCE and the UN, situation in Ukraine and the OSCE's role in solving that crisis were the topics of a meeting between OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

The meeting, also attended by OSCE Secretary General Lambero Zannier, was held ahead of a briefing Dacic is scheduled to hold before the UN Security Council concerning cooperation between the UN and the OSCE, the Serbian Foreign Ministry has stated.

Leaflets reading ‘Stop albanization of Niš’ appeared this morning in Niš (Serbia proper) suburb Crveni Pevac. In an unsigned leaflet author reminds that almost 11.000 Albanians have registered themselves in 2010 on the territory of the biggest municipality Mediana in Niš town, reported Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Christian heritage in KiM presented in the US Congress (RTS)

A monograph “Christian heritage of Kosovo and Metohija: Historical and spiritual center of Serbian nation” was presented on 10 February at the US Congress library. It is about supplemented edition of “Heritages of Kosovo” in the English language. Several presenters appealed for the end of demolition and desecration of Serbian churches in Kosovo and Metohija, carried Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC).

Better conditions for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija (RTS, Tanjug, Blic, Politika)

BELGRADE - Marko Djuric, head of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija, stated on Wednesday that the agreement on judiciary, which was initialed in Brussels on Tuesday, will bring about better conditions for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.

Djuric said that for Radio and Television of Serbia that he expects that the agreement will also contribute to the opening of chapters in the EU accession talks.
