Serbian Orthodox Church Raska-Prizren Eparchy Bishop Teodosije has served yesterday evening “Moleban for Kosovo and Metohija” (prayer of supplication) in the church of St. Dimitrije in Mitrovica North, Radio kontakt plus reported.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told a press conference in Belgrade on Tuesday that there is no easy and painless solution to the Kosovo problem.
He stressed that "one of the key issues is to solve the issue of KiM (Kosovo and Metohija), for the sake of the future of Serbia."
Vucic said that since signing the Brussels agreement, Serbia had done its best to be a reliable partner not only to the Albanians, but also to the international community.

After the evening liturgy, Raska-Prizren Eparchy Bishop Teodosije would serve today in Saint Demetrious Church in Mitrovica North “Prayer for Kosovo and Metohija,” Radio kontakt plus reported. The same prayer would be held until Friday in other temples and churches across Kosovo.
Bishop Tedosije called upon priesthood, monks and believers that in the difficult days ahead us, by prayers and fasting all together give a contribution to preserve a living church in Raska-Prizren Eparchy.
There is still a “clash” in the Security Council regarding London’s decision to remove Kosovo from the agenda in August, while Russia and China refuse to move discussion on Kosovo behind the closed doors, Belgrade-based daily Vecerenje Novosti reported.
Therefore, discussion on the situation in Kosovo three times a year, open to public, according to Novosti, could be a compromise solution among the great powers in the Security Council.
The situation is currently such that we have a good opportunity to solve the issue of Kosovo and Metohija with a compromise, Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said.
Dacic also pointed out that he "does not know whether and when there will be a better opportunity."

I know how difficult it is for them, especially in Metohija, but also for Serbs everywhere,” Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, following his meeting with Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej in Belgrade on Saturday.
