Rrahim Pacolli requests interruption of the discussions with Serbia (Epoka e Re)

Head of Kosovo’s technical delegation in the discussions between Kosovo and Serbia held in Brussels, Rrahim Pacolli, has proposed to the government of Kosovo to stop the discussions with Serbia, due to the lack of implementation of the agreement on the freedom of movement. “Serbia’s non-implementation of the agreement for the free movement of the citizens shows once again lack of seriousness and stability demonstrated continuously by the Serbian political elite towards the international factor.

Head of the Kosovo delegation for the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade in Brussels, Rrahim Pacolli, told Kosova Press that the agreement for the free movement between Kosovo and Serbia will start to implement from the next Friday. He also stressed that the agreement means removal of the fees for the vehicles which means full recognition of the insurance policies.

Selaković: Serbia fulfilled its obligations, Pristina did not (Tanjug, TV Most)

Minister of Justice in the Serbian Government Nikola Selaković stated that Serbia has fulfilled its part of obligations from the Brussels dialogue, but that Pristina did not act in the same manner and that it will have very difficult task to create the special court for the Kosovo Liberation Army war crimes in a due time.

Serbian List will not support creation of the Kosovo army (Politika)

The President of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, and Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, will try pushing forward a unified agenda in tomorrow’s session of the Kosovo parliament with two proposals: one for adoption of the amendments for the creation of the special court and another one for creation of the Kosovo army. Pristina-based papers claim that authorities are trying to ‘buy’ opposition with such motion. However, the proposals can’t be adopted without the support of the Serbian List which is not going to support such scenario.

EP Rapporteur on Serbia Davic McAllister has "expressed his understanding for the traditionally good relations Serbia has with Russia."

Nevertheless, said the German MEP who is currently visiting Belgrade, "Serbia must make certain efforts to align its foreign policy positions with those of the EU."

"Serbia has special economic and cultural ties with Russia," said he - and, according to Tanjug, added that "Serbia will have a key role in the establishment of good ties between the EU and Serbia."

Rasic: I cannot convince Serbian List on KAF (Indeksonline)

The Serb deputy at the Assembly of Kosovo, Nenad Rasic, considers that it is impossible for him to have any impact on the Serbian List to vote the Kosovo Armed Force (KAF). He said that the Serbian List is being influenced by Belgrade and they consider that it is not in interest of Kosovo Serbs to vote KAF at the Assembly. “As you know, the Serbian List has a majority of votes of Serb community, and I am a deputy that cannot change their position with regards to the Kosovo Army.

For a long time the US supports stronger and bigger EU, thus, support for Serbian path to the EU is something most natural, said Daniel Server, professor and expert for Balkans from the Washington-based John Hopkins Institute

According to Server, the biggest challenge from Washington’s angle for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is finding an adequate formula for creation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities (A/CSM) in Kosovo.

Liht: Without compromise there is no EU membership (Jedinstvo, Kontakt Plus Radio)

European Union membership is not possible without compromise, Belgrade and Pristina should understand that without successful accomplishment of negotiations there would be no progress toward our joint European future, said chairperson of the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence, Sonja Liht.

Liht said to North Mitrovica-based paper Jedinstvo that this was and the message of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel who commended Belgrade during her recent visit, first of all for its readiness for reaching compromise.

Green card to replace vehicle insurance as of 1 August (RTK2)

Implementation of the new agreement reached between Belgrade and Pristina with regard to  vehicle insurance is due to start as of 1 August, Pristina negotiation team confirmed.

Kosovo registration plates RKS and KS will still be valid in Kosovo, whereas head of Pristina negotiation team Edita Tahiri said that registration plates KS will still be discussed in Brussels.
