Paraguay will not recognize Kosovo – President Benitez (Serbian Government, B92, Tanjug)

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic spoke on Monday in Asuncion with President of Paraguay Mario Abdo Benitez.

According to the Serbian Government, they discussed "bilateral relations of the two countries, which they described as friendly." They also spoke about the possibilities for improving cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, with the emphasis on the improvement of economic cooperation.

Vucic: Early parliamentary elections "either in June, or next year" (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian President and ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Aleksandar Vucic says no final decision has been made on holding parliamentary elections. Elections will take place either in June, or in the spring of 2020, Vucic announced late on Monday, after a meeting of his party's presidency, B92 reported.

He said that the final decision had not been made yesterday - "but we are closer to calling them than before." "The SNS presidency was in favor of elections, with one abstention - mine," Vucic noted.

Klacar: Early elections in Serbia "unlikely during spring" (Prva TV, B92)

There's more chance of early elections in Serbia being held after the summer than during the spring, Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID) Executive Director Bojan Klacar told Prva TV.

Explaining the reasons for this, Klacar said there was no visible progress on Kosovo that could speed up the dynamics around elections, while the opposition "has taken a firm stance to boycott elections, which is not a good solution for the (ruling) Serbian Progressive Party (SNS)."

Moscow: NATO aggression on Yugoslavia “black stain” (Serbian media)

Serbian media reported on a statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs saying that “aggression of NATO member states on Yugoslavia in 1999 represents a black stain that shall always remain on the reputation of North-Atlantic Alliance.”

64 percent of Serbian citizens wouldn't accept NATO's apology – poll (BETA, B92)

79 percent of Serbian citizens are opposed to their country joining NATO. And 64 percent would not accept the western military alliance's apology for the 1999 bombing, BETA news agency reported on Friday.

This is according to a public opinion poll conducted by the Institute for European Affairs NGO, on the occasion of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the start of NATO's aggression against Serbia.

Day of Remembrance for victims of NATO aggression marked (Serbian media)

The central state ceremony of the 20th anniversary of the NATO aggression and the Day of Remembrance of the victims was held in Nis, south Serbia, late on Sunday. The day marked 20 years since the western military alliance started its attacks on Serbia, that lasted 78 days.

Addressing the gathering President Aleksandar Vucic said that the death of 2,500 civilians during the NATO aggression, and especially 79 children, will always be a crime for us.

Vucic: I assure Europe - Serbia is completely stable (B92, Tanjug, La Republicca)

The president of Serbia has told the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that Serbia was absolutely stable.

Aleksandar Vucic was responding when asked "whether stability was threatened in the aftermath of the weekend conflict (during oppposition protests)."

He added that violent perpetrators do not represent Serbia.

Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic sees no reason for the process of Serbia's EU integration to slow down due to Pristina's moves.

Novosti that only way for the European Union to preserve the integral
inviolability and indivisibility of the negotiation process with Serbia is to
"evacuate the monitoring of the Brussels agreement from the negotiating
platform for Chapter 35."
