Jovanovic (DSS): Consensus on Kosovo reintegration needed after Kurti's victory (Danas, Kosovo online)

Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) President Milos Jovanovic says that after the electoral victory of Self-determination leader Albin Kurti, it is important to see whether in Serbia is finally reached ''a consensus on the need to re-integrate the southern province into Serbia's constitutional order".

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced the visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Serbia

The president said that there's no doubt that Europe wants a solution to the Kosovo problem and that Germany would insist on it.

Vucic: They boycott elections in Belgrade but not in Pristina (Beta, N1)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that those who boycott the elections in Belgrade are not doing that in Pristina because, as he said, “the conditions seem to be perfect over there.”

He thanked the Serbs who showed support to the Serbian List, which runs in the Kosovo elections, and he added that a lot of pressure was exerted on all others to run only to seize votes from the Serb List.

Serbian opposition Movement of Free Citizens (PSG) accused on Tuesday Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) of using its official, who is also the Director of the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, to ''once again draw the targets on candidates in Kosovo’s parliamentary elections, saying that all candidates that are running except the Serbian List are the people who work in the interests of Albanians and are breaking the unity of Serbs in Kosovo''.

Parliamentary session on Kosovo and Metohija would be held on Monday for the first time in six years, even though the Serbian state leadership repeatedly claims the issue of Kosovo is a pivotal state matter, KoSSev portal reports. KoSSev continued that according to some of the Serbian opposition members this session is another “reality show“ of the President Aleksandar Vucic and “a bait“ to bring the opposition back to the parliament.

Klacar: Early elections in Serbia "unlikely during spring" (Prva TV, B92)

There's more chance of early elections in Serbia being held after the summer than during the spring, Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID) Executive Director Bojan Klacar told Prva TV. Explaining the reasons for this, Klacar said there was no visible progress on Kosovo that could speed up the dynamics around elections, while the opposition "has taken a firm stance to boycott elections, which is not a good solution for the (ruling) Serbian Progressive Party (SNS)." He added some kind of dialogue between the government and the opposition should be established before the elections.

Jeremic: Vucic offers independent Kosovo - immediately (VOA)
