Jovanovic (DSS): Consensus on Kosovo reintegration needed after Kurti's victory (Danas, Kosovo online)

Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) President Milos Jovanovic says that after the electoral victory of Self-determination leader Albin Kurti, it is important to see whether in Serbia is finally reached ''a consensus on the need to re-integrate the southern province into Serbia's constitutional order".

DSS: Pristina and irresponsible Serbian politics responsible for situation in northern Kosovo (Danas)

Opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) assessed yesterday that the current state of supply of the population and security in the north of Kosovo are the consequence of Serbian authorities’ politics since 2008 and arrogance of Pristina institutions, Danas daily reports.

DSS said Pristina has support by the US and the EU that in any way, including the violence and anti-civilization tariffs, use and misuse a wide spectrum of enforcing the statehood of self-declared Kosovo, opened by wrong Serbia’s politics over the last decade.

DSS: Protest against surrender of Kosovo on Monday (Danas, BETA)

Opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) and other initiators of an Appeal for Defense of Kosovo and Metohija called on citizens to gather in Belgrade on Monday, 18 February and show they oppose “high-treason” and attempts of the current authorities “to delineate Serbia with itself,” Danas daily reported.

As DSS announced the gathering would take place in the center of Belgrade, in front of the National Assembly, from where the citizens would walk to the Presidency building, where speeches would be held.

Jovanovic: Surrender of Kosovo and Metohija would open issues of Raska and Vojvodina (Danas, BETA)

Leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Milos Jovanovic said that surrender of Kosovo and Metohija would soon open the issues of Raska district, south of central Serbia and Vojvodina province, BETA news agency reports.

He made these remarks at DSS gathering in Kraljevo town, adding the future generations would have to deal with geopolitical issues in this case, instead of with economy and development of Serbia.

“Frozen conflict situation should be maintained, which means there is no final political solution at this moment,” Jovanovic underlined.

DSS: Putin unequivocally conveyed he does not support division of Kosovo and Metohija (BETA)

Leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Milos Jovanovic said in a written statement that Vladimir Putin in Belgrade “unequivocally conveyed” Moscow “in no way supports idea that Serbia should accept secession, respectively division of Kosovo,” BETA news agency reported.

Retired French Colonel Jacques Hogard, who in 1999 protected Serbs in Kosovo after the withdrawal of the Yugoslav Army, met in Belgrade with Milos Jovanovic, leader of opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), BETA news agency reported.

According to a press release, Hogard and Jovanovic, discussed the situation in Kosovo, as well as the political situation in France and in the European Union.

DSS: Dialogue between authorities and opposition on crucial issues (Tanjug, B92)

Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) urged today parties in power and opposition to launch a dialogue aiming to reach a societal consensus on the most important state issues, Tanjug news agency reported.

DSS noted the state cannot successfully defend its interests, in the atmosphere of division, hatred and lack of tolerance.

DSS thinks the best way to strengthen the state by initiating the dialogue would be organization of a series of thematic round tables between the authorities and opposition, without the presence of the media.
