The Combating Terrorism Center (CTC) in its analysis entitled "Western Balkans Foreign Fighters and Homegrown Jihadis: Trends and Implications" reports that since 2012, about 1,070 citizens of Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia, Albania, Serbia and Montenegro travelled to Syria and Iraq, primarily joining the Islamic State, and to a lesser extent al-Qaeda (Jabhat al Nusra, more recently rebranded as Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham - HTS).

In an extraordinary press conference today, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said that the Quint countries made clear today the outcome of the dialogue, but that Serbia would nonetheless continue to pursue its internal policies on Kosovo and other issues driven by its own interests.
Djuric agreed with part of the statement regarding the call for the dialogue to resume but added that it should happen after taxes are abolished.

Serbian Culture Minister Vladan Vukosavljevic sent a note to the Vatican protesting what he said were tensions caused by Albanian Catholic priests who served mass on the ruins of a Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo.
Albanian Catholic priests recently served mass on the ruins of the 14th century Orthodox cathedral of St Nicholas which was destroyed in an earthquake. Serbian media reported that the Albanian clergy and politicians had declared the church a Catholic temple.
