Kosovo Assembly could gather next week to discuss constitutional changes in connection with Kosovo Armed Forces. Serb deputies say that they are not going to vote this constitutional change.. It looks live that two third of minority votes for the amendment of constitution about transformation of KSF in to Kosovo Armed Forces will be conditioned with the extension of the mandate for reserved seats for minorities.

Serb deputy in Kosovo Assembly, Rada Trajkovic, says that Serb deputies will not vote any constitutional changes that are in connection with Kosovo Armed Forces.

“I think that Serb representatives will vote only for the establishment of tribunal, for continuation of EULEX mandate, meanwhile Kosovo Armed Forces is not part of the talks with local Serbs and I think Serbs will not vote about this. Even the issue of reserved seats is connected with only one mandate, while legalization of Kosovo Armed Forces is a long process and this is a reason that this change should not be voted,” said Trajkovic.

Earlier Kosovo Government has approved the decision for constitutional changes that have to do with the transformation of KSF into Armed Forces. Kosovo Prime Minister Thaçi proposed that changes to be done in 7 articles of the KSF law, which necessarily open up constitution chapters for changes.
