The Social Democratic Initiative (NISMA) will not be part of an eventual technical government because it believes that Kosovo needs a strong government that can resolve major political problems after early parliamentary elections. NISMA Secretary General Bilall Sherifi said in an interview to Ekonomia Online that he doesn’t believe an eventual technical government could resolve political problems. “If the current government fell because of major political issues, a political government could not resolve political issues, then can how a technical government resolve such important issues. The idea that a technical government can do this is unreasonable. What I can say today is that the Republic of Kosovo needs a strong political government that can address the serious political problems,” he said. Sherifi also suggested that the bigger parties should run alone in the early parliamentary elections “so that we can see who the people view as big political parties”. He also said NISMA would take into consideration all requests and proposals for possible coalitions.
