Several news websites report that the Kosovo Journalists Association (AGK) has reacted to a press release issued on Wednesday by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) in which it called on people “not to believe the fake news” by news website Gazeta Express. The AGK said in its reaction: “the AGK finds unacceptable the Democratic Party of Kosovo’s attack against Gazeta Express. The public call ‘don’t believe the false news of Gazeta Express’ is a flagrant violation against this media. The language used by this political party continues to deteriorate and although it says that it respects the media and the freedom of speech, it calls on people to be reserved about news by Gazeta Express, news which it calls false … In addition to expressing concern over the language used against the media by a political party that has been in power for many years, we also believe this is direct pressure on the editorial policies and a direct form of public pressure. The AGK calls on the PDK to distance itself from the language used in this case which violates the professional integrity of reporters”.
