Serb leaders in Kosovo – and those who accept and those who do not accept the Brussels agreement – do not believe the community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) will have any real powers.

Oliver Ivanovic, president of the Citizens’ Initiative “Serbia, democracy, justice,” which went to the polls, consider the story of the ZSO “a political pamphlet.”

“I do not know if there is some kind of the ZSO secret statute, but what everyone needs to be clear is that it is not possible to implement a secret ZSO. Remains that Belgrade, Pristina and Brussels say what’s next, but it is certain that the Kosovo Serbs little will be asked and will have to abide by, ” evaluates Ivanovic.

Representative of the Democratic Party of Serbia, in the National Assembly of Serbia, Marko Jaksic argues that the “Union of Beekeepers of Serbia will have more impact than ZSO.”

“It is empty talk, because ZSO does not exist in the Serbian Constitution or the Constitution of the self-proclaimed Kosovo,” said Jaksic.

He believes that the Brussels agreement and the forced inclusion of Serbs in Kosovo institutions, history will interpret as an act of abandonment of KiM Serbs and their extradition to Pristina.

President of the Association of Kosovo Serbs Bojan Stojanovic believes that the “push” of the Serbs, supported by Belgrade, into the self-proclaimed Kosovo institutions is – national tragedy.

“I believe that after this there will be nothing that could mean treason, because by accepting the Brussels agreement we accepted assimilation and again as responsible ones will be identified Kosovo Serbs,” says Stojanovic.

The Brussels agreement and involvement of Serbs in Pristina institutions marked the 2013th year in Kosovo. Part of the Serbs agreed to this after pressure from Belgrade, and the other part does not want to give in or to give legitimacy to this agreement.

It is characteristic that almost all Serbian leaders in Kosovo remain skeptical when it comes to the perspective of the Serbs in Kosovo and, in particular, the ZSO inculcating.
