Rexhepi rejects Vulin;s request to visit Gjakova (Telegrafi)

Kosovo Minister of Internal Affairs, Bajram Rexhepi, has rejected Aleksandar Vulin’s request to visit municipality of Gjakova.

A statement says that the Ministry of Internal Affairs assures all citizens of the country that any decision to allow or not allow such visits is taken with state and institutional responsibility, by respecting applicable legislation and in accordance to the interests of the citizens.

“In order to explain to the public opinion the request of Mr. Aleksandar Vulin to visit Republic of Kosovo, respectively municipalities of Peja, Gjakova, Mitrovica, and Graçanica, we would like to inform you that the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Bajram Rexhepi, on 3 January 2014 decided to refuse the visit of Mr. Vulin in Gjakova municipality, scheduled for 6 and 7 January 2014”, the statement reads.

The minister also sent a letter to the head of EU Office in Kosovo, Samuel Zbogar.

Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on local authorities in Gjakova not to create concerns for the citizens before learning the reality which is that Vulin’s request was refused and he will not be visiting municipality of Gjakova.
