Head of Gjakova Municipality Mimoza Kusari-Lila told Koha Ditore today that she has received assurances from the Government of Kosovo that Serbian minister without portfolio for Kosovo, Aleksandar Vulin, will not be granted permission to visit Gjakova.
“Last night upon receiving the news, I contacted Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuçi whom I asked in a letter not to allow Vulin to visit Gjakova. In addition, I spoke this morning to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Bajram Rexhepi, and was told that Vulin has not been allowed to come to Gjakova. He will visit Kosovo but not Gjakova Municipality”, said Kusari-Lila.
Kusari-Lila, stayed Monday morning in front of the Serb Orthodox Church where local and special police forces were stationed.
Koha.net learnt from Gjakova about the gathering of hundreds of citizens around the Serb Orthodox Church who wish to prevent such a visit. Police forces have also been stepped up at the site.
