Government to unite on 11 January (Lajmi.net)

Governments of Kosovo and Albania will gather Saturday, 11 January, in Prizren in the first joint meeting to consider possibilities of closer cooperation in the future.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, confirmed the time and the venue of the meeting which has so far been postponed twice for different reasons.

He said the agenda of the meeting will include several decisions which he said are important and are related to the deepening of cooperation between Pristina and Tirana as well as agreement on modalities for establishment of a fund for Preshevo Valley.

“The joint meeting of the Government of Republic of Kosovo and Government of Republic of Albania will take place on 11 January 2014 in Prizren”.

“In the first meeting we will take several important decisions for deepening of economic cooperation and in the field of European integration”.

“Furthermore, we will settle the modalities for establishing a development fund for Preshevo Valley”.

“Cooperation between us from now on will be even more structured. We aim a joint and strategic approach for our vital interests”.

“Beginning of a new journey!”, wrote Prime Minister Thaçi in his Facebook profile.
