Director of Kosovo Customs, Lulzim Rafuna said that according to his expectations revenues from Brnjak and Jarinje ”will be only up to 2.5 million”, and that is so far was collected 140,000 euros.
At a press conference, Rafuna rated as very important electronic data exchange with Customs of Serbia.
He explained that according to the Brussels agreement, on these two border crossings, customs’ fee is paid for the goods for companies that are registered in the north. Those are commodities, which have a destination in the north and are consumed in that part of Kosovo. “Procedures are performed in compliance with all standards and everything functions properly. There are no problems, the funds are collected, all importers pay their customs duties, through Raiffeisen Bank, which is based in Jarinje and Brnjak,” he said.
