International Federation of Association Football (FIFA,) Commission for emergent issues announced the decision for Kosovo’s friendly games. The news was confirmed for KTV, by head of Kosovo’s head of Kosovo’s Football Federation, Fadil Vokrri. He stated that Kosovo is allowed to play friendly matches, however, it should be carrying the footnote and no state symbols. “It is important that Serbia will not have a consulting role on these matches, outside and within Kosovo, so Kosovo will decide on its own. Also, for a certain period, Kosovo will not have the right of friendly matches with national teams of the countries which derive from disintegration of Yugoslavia,” he said.
It is learned that this decision is temporary, while in March, when the next meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee, the decision will take the shape requested by Kosovo Football Federation, for Kosovo to have the right of friendly matches with all states, without conditions on using state symbols.
