New elections for mayor of Kosovska Mitrovica, could be held on 23 February, and the deadline for calling elections expires on 22 January. Citizens’ Initiative “Srpska” has not yet revealed who will be their ‘trump card’ instead of Krstimir Pantic, but Minister Aleksandar Vulin confirmed appointment of a new candidate.

At the same time, Oliver Ivanovic , who was runner-up in the elections , said that it is possible that this time he does not enter the “race”: “The previous elections were too exhausting. I was exposed to a difficult atmosphere. CI ‘SDP’ has five candidates for mayor; it does not have to be me.”

Prime Minister Ivica Dacic , who on Tuesday visited Gracanica said that re-election for mayor of northern Mitrovica will not slow down the formation of the Association of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo.

The Prime Minister announced that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will continue probably on 27 January, explaining that the shift was due to the obligations of EU High Representative, Catherine Ashton. In the following rounds will be discussed judiciary, the property of citizens and Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC).
