A spokesman for special investigator Clint Williams says the EULEX team investigating allegations of human organ trafficking has not completed its task.

“The investigation is ongoing and we are determined to bring it to an end,” Joao Sousa told Tanjug on Wednesday, the news agency reported.

The spokesman would not comment on a report in the Priština-based Albanian language daily Express, which said the probe was complete and that indictments would be raised against some of the closest associates of Kosovo PM Hashim Thaci.

“We do not comment on baseless rumors and speculation,” stressed Sousa.

He also noted that when the investigation was launched, it was appraised it would be complex and last a long time, “and could take three to four years.”
