President of Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, met today European Parliament rapporteur for Kosovo, Ulrike Lunacek. The latter hailed the progress in Kosovo and stressed the importance of organising successful local elections throughout the territory of Kosovo.
Jahjaga and MEP Lunacek discussed the process of Kosovo’s European integration and reform in the framework of European agenda.
President Jahjaga thanked MEP Lunacek for her personal contribution and broad support of European Parliament members in adopting Resolution on Kosovo.
Jahjaga noted that Kosovo institutions are committed in implementing all criteria and standards in order to successfully conclude negotiations for Stabilisation and Association Agreement with EU in spring of this year.
She said institutions of Republic of Kosovo are also determined in establishing rule of law in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
