Kosovo citizens will not be able to travel without visas this year. The European Parliament’s Rapporteur on Kosovo, Ulrike Lunacek, who is visiting Pristina, said visa liberalization will not happen this year. She also said that Kosovo citizens would be able to travel without visas in two or three years.
“I will not give any dates, because I don’t know, even the European Commission doesn’t know this. Visa liberalization will not happen this year, this may happen in two or three years, but I don’t know when. I hope it will happen in two or three years,” Lunacek was quoted as saying.
Asked to comment on the issue of reserved seats for minority communities in parliament, Lunacek said the decision needs to be made by Kosovo institutions and not by internationals.
