Kosovo special police has dispersed the crowd of protesting students who blocked today from 08:00 hours the entrance of Pristina University Rectorate, hampering anyone from entering the building. The police have already forced the students out of the compound and away from the gate of Rectorate, guarding and making it impossible for the students to return. The police has arrested many students protesters, however there is no information if they were sent at police compound, or only moved away from Rectorate. Emergency vehicle also arrived at the site, to give first aid to two students, who complained on the injuries taken during the clashes with the police.
Kosovo Police Spokesperson, Florije Ahmeti, told koha.net that during the police intervention to unblock the Rectorate of the University of Pristina, the police has arrested 25 students protesters. She did not clarify what further actions they will undertake towards the arrested, but informed that two police officers are injured. She informed that the police will later issue a press release on the action of unblocking the Rectorate of the “Hasan Prishtina” University.
