The main political parties have agreed to hold the next general elections in Kosovo during March. This option is also supported by Quint countries, informed Klan Kosova broadcaster last night.

However, it is initially expected for the Parliament of Kosovo to hold a motion which would bring down the Government and to open in this manner way for new elections.

In such situation, the Constitution foresees for the President to decree early elections, which cannot be proclaimed later that 45 days before the disintegration of the parliament.

It appears that elections would be held on one of the three Sundays of the second part of March, on 16, 23 or 30 March.

This option was not mentioned before.

The situation can change only due to some imposing development.
However, none of the parties confirmed the news officially.
