Leaving of Fatmir Limaj and Jakup Krasniqi from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, will not harm the party, stated the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci. He added that it is up to each member to chose his political orientation. Thaci did not want to speak about Krasniqi’s and Limaj’s party becoming official, reiterating that PDK does not belong to any individual.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo is convinced that even after the departure of Limaj and Krasniqi, the Democratic Party of Kosovo will continue to be number one. “I am stressing that PDK is extremely organized, it is the most powerful party in the Republic of Kosovo, which will win convincingly 2014 elections. PDK, with its development concept and its political partners will continue to govern during the next mandate, and I reiterate that it is up to each individual to orient or reorient politically,” he said.

He added that the party that he leads is not anyones property, except to the sovereign. “PDK will continue to work with its concept, program and political philosophy. PDK does not belong to individuals but it is related to its program, vision and standards, not with the cult of an individual or some certain personality,” he said.

According to him, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has a proven and strong leadership to govern the country for another mandate.
