Office for Kosovo and Metohija protested over the arrest of activists of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) in Gračanica/Graçanicë.

The Office strongly protested due to the arrest of Milomir Peric and Danilo Kostic from Gračanica/Graçanicë by the Kosovo police, because they were putting up posters for parliamentary elections set for 16 March.

“Expressing political will is a democratic and civil right of every citizen, thus we request for such rights to be provided to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija,” carried the Office.

Representatives of the Office requested from authorities and international community, first of all from the OSCE, that Peric and Kostic are released immediately, and from Pristina to stop jeopardizing human rights of Serbs in the province ‘because the arrest of Serbs from Gračanica/Graçanicë is a bold pressure on Serbian nation in Kosovo and Metohija, aiming at intimidating and expelling Serbs from the province,” carried Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
