Vice President of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Nenad Popović stated on Friday that his party expects good result in parliamentary elections and that citizens should decide in referendum in 2015 whether they are pro pursuing the Euro-integration path.

Popović said in Kosovska Mitrovica that DSS expect two-digit result in parliamentary elections in March because, as he put it, they are the only ones to come up with the concrete political program with the basic idea on political neutrality and concrete economic development program for Serbia until 2019.

“We are sure that citizens will recognize our position that Serbia should be politically neutral, that is should abolish European integration which is detrimental to Serbia particularly to its economy, instead it should built the best possible relations with the Russian Federation,” said Popović.

He explained that the essence of political neutrality means that we should cooperate with the EU but on the basis of ‘clear accounts’, but much more with the Russian Federation because of more favorable conditions for xport of our products and employment, because more export means more jobs in Serbia.

Popović stressed that decision on whether Serbia should continue with the European integrations or declare political neutrality should be brought by citizens of the Republic of Serbia, what is the practice in serious states.

KIM radio also carried that Popović pledged in Kosovska Mitrovica that abolishment of Brussels agreement is of the biggest importance for the economic growth of Kosovo and Methoja and precondition for the preservation of integrity of Serbia. “Economic prosperity of Kosovo and Metohija, particularly of Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija, is impossible without its deep integration in the economic flows of the entire Serbia,” said Popović and added that he expect from Constitutional Court to declare null and  void all Brussels agreements.
