Over 100 trucks since Saturday are continuing to block border crossing point Morine – Vermicë/Vrmica protesting from the return of the tax in amount of 40 euros, which every heavy vehicle has to pay for transporting of goods from Albanian into Kosovo. Meanwhile Kosovo customs has reacted today, saying that the reports for application of the tax are not true. In customs explanation it says that Kosovo customs in cooperation with Kosovo Economic Chamber, Business Alliance and American Economic Chamber in Kosovo have agreed some time ago to change simplified import procedures, so that all procedures to be in accordance with the code of customs and excise tax and better European practices. Therefore in the explanation it says that customs has suspended the simplified import system, which has been used from these companies until their relicensing according to Administrative Guidance entered into force in February this year.
