Kosovo and Macedonia start negotiations on judicial cooperation (indeksonline)

Representatives of the Ministries of Justice of the Republics of Kosovo and Macedonia, negotiated today at a meeting the agreement on judicial help for civilian issues. The Republic of Kosovo negotiates for the first time a bilateral agreement in the field of judicial cooperation on civilian issues. This agreement will contribute on further cooperation between the two countries and it will facilitate fast and efficient completion of requests for all citizens.

This is the fourth agreement between Kosovo and Macedonia in the field of international judicial cooperation. Earlier, these two countries signed the agreement on extradition, transfer of convicted individuals and mutual judicial help on penal issues.

Today’s meeting marks the first one between the negotiating groups. Both parties expressed readiness for further cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and that of Macedonia in the future.
