Abazi was not the cause the Brussels meeting came to halt (Telegrafi)

General Assembly of Kosovo Members of Insurance Bureau (BKS) rebutted reports that the cause the meeting was cut short in Brussels was Faton Abazi, and expressed full support for Abazi in efforts to uphold interests of Kosovo insurance industry and continuing to represent it alongside the newly-appointed members of the delegation.

BKS said that the only person eligible to give statements on the course of talks from now on will be Rexhep Idrizaj, new head of delegation in talks with the Serbian side.

Executive Director of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau, Faton Abazi, was reported to have been involved in a verbal conflict with the representative of the Kosovo Government, Qemajl Murmullaku, under the motive that the latter held the Serbian side’s point of view in the dialogue.

The General Assembly of Kosovo Members of Insurance Bureau in its regular meeting decided to reformat the Kosovo Insurance Bureau delegation that will undergo talks with the Serbian side the under the EU facilitation regarding free movement and border insurance policies.

The delegation of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau will not comprise of Rexhep ldrizaj, head of delegation, Faton Abazi, BKS executive director, Gani Thaci, BKS deputy director, Vlora Obertinca, director of the Department from the Guaranteeing Fund and the Compensation Fund, Ibrahim Kastrati, general director of K.S “Sigkos”, Roland Kacani, general director of K.S “Sigma”, Giani Sokolic, general director of K.S “Illyria” and a representative from the Kosovo Central Bank.

The decision will enter into force on 06.03.2014.
