World Bank will support Kosovo Central Bank projects (Telegrafi)

Kosovo Central Bank Governor Bedri Hamza met Ellen Goldstein World Bank director for the Western Balkans and Jan-Peter Olters, World Bank director for Kosovo. Welcoming Goldstein and briefing her on the current situation in the financial sector which was described as being stable and sound, Governor Hamza stressed the strong support of the World Bank in development of the KCB, financial sector and other institutions in Kosovo.

Hamza and Goldstein exchanged information on current economic and financial developments in Kosovo and the multidimensional support the World Bank continues to provide in Kosovo’s economic and institutional progress.

Hamza also informed Goldstein on the status and importance of projects funded by the World Bank, with a special focus on segments for strengthening of financial sector and market infrastructure.

Ellen Goldstein confirmed to Governor Hamza that the World Bank will continue its support in all fields of interest for the development of KCB and financial sector in general.

At the same time, Goldstein hailed cooperation with the World Bank and all the progress accomplished in projects supported by the World Bank’s technical assistance. She said the success of implemented projects in Kosovo is used as a model for designing projects for other countries. In conclusion, Hamza and Goldstein pledged to broaden cooperation with more projects in the future.
