At the time where are ongoing discussions about reserved seats in Kosovo Assembly, experts do not reject the possibility that it could be added two more reserved seats to the Assembly. This will happen if Kosovo gets two more communities, Montenegrin and Croatian communities.

The request of Montenegrins and Croatians to be recognized the right as communities in Kosovo, could lead, to at least of 22 reserved seats in the Assembly. Expert in this issue, Albert Krasniqi says that if the package opens then unavoidably it should be included also these two issues that are waiting in the line.

„It is the issue of Montenegrin community, but also of Croatian community, which should be included in communities of reserved seats. Furthermore, this could lead in the increase of seats from 20 to at least 22 seats or more, because no one from other communities who already have reserved seats could not accept to give up from these rights that they have and to leave this to other communities who are going to be included in constitution.”

The head of Montenegrin Association in Kosovo, Slobodan Vujicic, said that his community expects that in the next legislation period to be represented with at least one deputy.

Kosovo constitution recognises five minority communities, Serb, Bosniak, Turkish, Roma and Gorani community. All of these five communities have their reserved seats in Kosovo Assembly.
