Community of Serbian Municipalities’ (CSM) seat should be in Gračanica/Graçanicë agreed Goran Arsić and Vladeta Kostić, in a TV program ‘Dogovor’ (Agreement).

The seat of future CSM will be defined with future statue, said leader of Progressives (Serbian Progressive Party – SNS) in Kosovo and the Head of Kosovo District Vladeta Kostić,  however he is not hiding the wish that he would prefer Gračanic/Graçanicë to be the seat. “So, I don’t hide that I lead a political struggle aiming at having the seat of CSM in the south from the Ibar/Ibër River, although it is high time that we stop dividing ourselves on northern and southern Serbs, however I would prefer that the seat of CSM is here,” said Kostić.

Goran Arsić from the New Democratic Party voiced his dissatisfaction due to the fact that CSM will be composed by nine Serbian municipalities established in line with Kosovo law, without local self-governments which operate in the system of the Republic of Serbia.

“CSM will be composed by nine mayors who are elected at Kosovo local elections, most probably the seat (of CSM) will be Kosovska Mitrovica”, said Arsić and appealed on Kostić to advocate for Gračanica/Graçanicë to be the seat of CSM. “Gračanica/Graçanicë is the center of all activities in the south of Ibar/Ibë River, that’s why it should be there,” explained Arsić.

Vladeta Kostić  also claimed that association will be led by politicians who will be elected in elections, either local or ones organized only for the sake of creation of the CSM.
