The Administrative Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Mitrovica North, has been functioning for more than two years as a northern municipality. Its obligation was preparation of the basis for establishment of the municipality, however, despite the fact that the Municipal Assembly in Mitrovica north is constituted, and its mayor is elected, this office continues to operate. Head of this Office, Adriana Hodzic, did not clarify her position towards the northern municipality. She has had a meeting with the recently elected mayor, Goran Rakic, and reported to him about the work of each department of the Administrative Office.  She stated that despite the will to shut down the office respectively to complete the transition from the Administrative Office to the recently established northern municipality, she has not received any instructions from the Government of Kosovo.

The position of the Administrative Office is not clear to mayor of Mitrovica North, Goran Rakic either. He stated that he does not know how long would the transition period last, since Hodzic did not receive any instructions on further procedures. However, he valued Hodzic’s work, saying that “she was devoted for the wellbeing of the citizens in the north.”
