Thaçi-Dacic meeting ends

(RTK1, Klan Kosova)

Twenty-third round of Brussels negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia ended. After the meeting, Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi said that progress was made, but agreement on justice was not reached.

On the other hand, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that the best possible result for the Serbian people was reached in these talks. In an interview with RTS, he stated that the Court president will be a Serb, while 60 judges will be Serbs and 40 others, which is in accordance with Belgrade’s request.

The SNS leader added that a good result was achieved also regarding prosecutors.

Political parties expect Law on Elections will pass this Thursday

(TV21)

It is expected that Law on Elections will be finally passed this Thursday. This was implied by political party representatives, following the Assembly Presidency meeting on Monday. LDK says that be it with the old or with the new Law, elections must be held in the first part of June.

PDK also is in favour of finalisation of Law on Elections. However, AAK called on PDK MPs to stay in the room, not to quit the Assembly session as they did last week when Draft Law on Elections was discussed.

Election experts also believe that passing of the Law on Elections as soon as possible is necessary. According to Mazllum Baraliu, any delay in passing the Law will bring multidimensional consequences.

Pavicevic applies for identity card at Kosovo Government

(KTV)

The Serbian Liaison Officer to Kosovo, or Serbian ambassador to Prishtinë/Pristina according to the local perception, Dejan Pavicevic has been issued a special identity card for his mission here. He submitted the application to the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo.

His mission is within the EU, but this is the first time that Pavicevic recognises authority of the Republic of Kosovo.

Along with Pavicevic, two other Serbian officials, namely Predrag Nikolic and Milos Ris also applied for the same document at Thaçi’s Office. Applications of the three Serbian officials were filed on 11th March.
