First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia no one so far has set recognition of Kosovo’s independence as a condition for EU membership, adding that the issue at this moment is impossible question for Serbia.

“I cannot talk about what it will be,” Vucic told Deutsche Welle answering the question of whether at some point he will recognize Kosovo’s independence if it is a condition for EU membership.

He said that up to 2017 or 2018th certainly no one will ask this question because they know that it is impossible for Serbia at this point and it’s a thing that cannot be discussed.

He added that it is likely after the next election in 2017 or 2018th somebody else will be in power in Serbia.

“But I think even then no one will agree to formally accept an independent Kosovo. We understand reality and know that in Glogovac, Srbica and in Pec, expect Goraždevac, there are no Serbs, and we cannot set a Serbian flag. We live in reality, but Albanians need to look reality in the north and other parts. Because of it we are here to talk,” said Vucic.
