Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, in a visit to the Centre for Protection of Women and Children in Pristina, promised the setting up of a special budget line for sheltering victims of domestic violence.
Thaci said that in the meeting with the staff from the centre they also discussed possibilities for reintegration of women and children but also stressed the importance of the full implementation of the law on domestic violence. “We also discussed the necessity to work more on prevention, most specifically on education,” said Thaci.
