The presidency of the Kosovo Assembly did not decide today if the issue of the special court, which would address war crimes allegations, will be discussed in Thursday’s session of the Assembly. Assembly Speaker Jakup Krasniqi said members of the presidency did not have enough material to make a decision on the matter. Krasniqi also said that the Assembly presidency is waiting for an official position by the President of Kosovo.

AAK parliamentary group chief, Ardian Gjini, said the decision on the special court is not a party decision. He added that members of the Assembly will have to find a solution on the matter. Gjini did not say if the AAK would vote in favour of the court.

LDK parliamentary group chief, Ismet Beqiri, said every crime committed in Kosovo needs to be resolved. He said the LDK would make its decision on the court and then issue a public announcement.

Vetevendosje’s Glauk Konjufca said the establishment of the tribunal would be an injustice toward the people of Kosovo.
